Description:
Drain Crete is a special blend and discontinued mixture of coarse aggregate, cementitious material, water, and admixtures with storm water retention properties. Its enhanced porosity allows for the transmission, storage, and exfiltration of rain/ storm water to the underlying soils.

Recommendations:
Due to the highly specialized properties of Drain Crete, the following key factors must be evaluated prior to placement:

Suitable base soil

Proper preparation and compaction of base soil

A qualified and ACI certified placement crew proficient in placing, finishing, and curing of Drain Crete

An Engineer and/or hydrologist thoroughly familiar with pervious concrete must verify the performance of mix design

At least the Engineer must verify 2 years of Product in-place track history by the contractor and concrete producer.

Handling Precaution:
The placement of Drain Crete must be accomplished within 60 minutes of batching; this may be extended to 90 minutes if an approved retarding admixture is incorporated.
