READYFLOW PLUS SCC/SPC (Self Consolidating/Placing Concrete)

Description:
ReadyFlow Plus SCC/SPC is a highly flowable concrete that can spread into place under its own weight and achieve excellent consolidation without internal or external vibration, and without exhibiting defects due to segregation and bleeding.

Advantages:
ReadyFlow Plus SCC/SPC has excellent fluidity with high resistance to segregation, is highly workable, and meets new demands on concrete in commercial, industrial, and residential applications to achieve the highest level of performance. The following special qualities are also provided:

  • Placement of concrete with significantly reduced or no vibration, translating to a tremendous savings in labor
  • Placement of concrete in congested reinforced areas where without ReadyFlow Plus SCC/SPC; an expensive redesign alternative would have been necessary
  • Exhibits minimal to no bleeding
  • Concrete is very cohesive and resists segregation, even with highly fluid, high w/c ratio mixes
  • Thixothropic action provides stiffening when it's needed - after concrete is placed
  • Improved productivity, increased efficiency of labor, and improved cost efficiency of construction processes
  • Concrete with highly workable, pumpable, and placeable properties

    Excellent Fluidity with High Resistance to Segregation

  • Slump flow 26-28 inches
  • T20 - 4 seconds

    • Superior Filling Ability
    Highly flowable and self -consolidating; ability to change shape under its own weight (i.e. without vibration) and excellent deformability in the plastic state

    Length Change (ASTM C 157)
    Shrinkage - 0.0233% @ 28 days

    Excellent Stability
    No segregation of paste/ aggregate and no/or minimal bleeding during or after placement

    Passing Ability
    Unrestricted passage through tight or congested areas; no tendency to "block" during placement

    Rheology
    Minimal force required to induce and increase flow (low yield stress and viscosity.

    Where To Use:
    ReadyFlow Plus SCC/SPC is recommended for use in highly specialized/ high performance types of concrete applications, specifically, in extreme conditions where highly fluid, workable, self-compacting/ leveling properties are required.

    ReadyFlow Plus SCC/SPC is also recommended in applications where minimal or no segregation of mixes during placements is required.

    ICF (Insulated Concrete Forms) applications

    In applications where water retentivity (bleed water) is a concern, ReadyFlow Plus SCC/SPC concrete can be beneficial.

    Recommendations:
    Due to excellent self-placing/ self-compacting properties of ReadyFlow Plus SCC/SPC, little or no vibration is required. Vibration may impart segregation resistance of ReadyFlow Plus SCC/SPC.

    Handling Precaution:
    Retempering of ReadyFlow Plus SCC/SPC concrete to increase slump should be done with mid-range or a HRWR.
